Tony Khan comments on AEW's upcoming show in London.

AEW previously announced that they will make their debut in the United Kingdom with a show in London, but additional details were unclear. AEW CEO Tony Khan previously noted that he hopes that the event could happen in the summer of 2023.

Speaking with Joe Brophy of talkSPORT, Khan highlighted the importance of the wrestling market in the UK and called it one of his favorite places in the world. He called London one of his favorite places and specifically West London and Craven Cottage. Khan emphasized AEW's strong viewership in the UK before he stated that the announcement about the company's London show is coming soon, as the major details are coming into place.

"That announcement about AEW in London, it鈥檚 coming very very soon. I don鈥檛 want to say exactly when, but believe me, it鈥檒l be very, very soon. The fact is we鈥檙e getting closer and closer on all of the details you mentioned (dates, venues etc). There are a lot of details to work out on such a major event as this, but all of the major details are coming into place. We鈥檙e very close to having all of the information ready to announce so it鈥檚 come together very quickly. People are going to be very excited when they hear about this," Khan said.

Khan continued by stating that the London event will be special; he shared his belief that it could be one of the greatest shows in AEW history. He again brought up his love for London and noted that bringing AEW there will feel like coming home.

鈥淚t鈥檚 going to be a really special event, I think it can be one of the greatest events in AEW鈥檚 history, certainly befitting of our debut in London, which is a city that I love so much, it is so close to my heart. For everybody there, all the wrestling fans there. I cannot wait to do it, and it feels like coming home to me, so I鈥檓 very excited about it," Khan said.
